Magazine Covergirl -- NYLON: Lily Collins (March 2012)


      As of late, I've had a major beauty and style crush on Lily Collins. When she had her short/baby and blunt bangs a' la Audrey Hepburn (especially in her role as Snow White in this month's Mirror Mirror) she definitely had the best bangs in Hollywood. And those thick and perfectly shaped brows? *swoon. For the March 2012 Fashion Issue of NYLON, stylist Britt Bardo wanted to stray from the starlet's usual editorial styling and put Lily in something more androgynous since the young daughter of Phil Collins (can you believe that??!) is often seen in a lot of whimsical and feminine looks. Bardo said that "I dressed her in menswear, but with girly vibe." And that Snow White meets Annie Hall take on a feminine look combined with masculine pieces is definitely front and center on the cover of the March issue with the use of the Louis Vuitton eyelet collar as designed by Marc Jacobs for LV and the pleather top and neon dress (worn underneath) by H&M. I love the Emporio Armani bow tie and Vivienne Westwood tie in the third and fourth look, but the third look with the Jenni Kayne blazer and J. Brand pants is definitely my favorite. Like a woman wearing an oversized men's watch, I love nothing more than seeing a lady wearing menswear pieces better than the boys.
