In today's draught of positive young, female role models, nothing makes me happier than seeing young actresses who actually deserve the spotlight in the entertainment news. I recently read an article in the May 2011 issue of Teen Vogue titled The Kids Are All Right, which talked about how Hollywood's new wave of young female actresses (Jennifer Lawrence, Elle Fanning, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Hailee Steinfeld) are ditching all the sexy, body conscious, plunging neckline dresses for something more sophisticated and age appropriate -- which is how it should be! I feel like teenage girls today are trying to grow up too fast. Why not embrace your youth? What is so wrong with that??
So when I heard that Hailee Steinfeld is going to be the new face of Miu Miu for the A/W 2011 season, I was beyond thrilled. She's perfect for it. Not only does she attend the fashion shows of the legendary fashion house, she is also often seen wearing Miu Miu while making her media rounds when promoting the movie, True Grit. Any girl who can co-design design such a gorgeous and classy Marchesa dress with Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig for the Oscars is A-OK in my book. That nude colored Marchesa gown was fun, yet very tasteful -- it was just perfect for a 14 year old. Besides, I bet Miuccia Prada is a big fan of her sophisticated taste too or she wouldn't be her new Miu Miu muse.

Isn't that a spectacular choice? She suits the brand perfectly! Altho the Marchesa gown is unforgettable, I'm absolutely digging the swan dress!
