Even if you've never seen the movies Yes Man and 500 Days of Summer, I know that you have to be somewhat familiar with Zooey Deschanel's piercing blue eyes behind those thick brunette bangs and her beautiful singing pipes. Since her short-and-blonde-hair-days starring in the holiday comedy Elf with Will Ferrell, she has become the poster girl of Rimmel London make up, married Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service's Ben Gibbard, and is also 1/2 of the band She & Him with Matt Ward. Her upcoming movie projects include the comedy set in the Middle Ages, Your Highness, starring alongside James Franco, Natalie Portman, and Danny McBride, due out this April. But in this April issue of Lucky Magazine, Zooey Deschanel talks more than just movies and music. In the cover story which is styled by Isabel Dupre', Deschanel shared with us her spring wish list which is just as whimsical and colorful as her personality. In the article she shares her two year old childhood fashion saying that "I wanted to look really girly like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I'm still the same way." And it still shows! From her colorful wardrobe palette and playful prints and patterns, the 31 year old would choose a very feminine and romantic look over bondage skirts and dresses any day. "I have a weakness for polka dots," says Deschanel and so do we! I love the Marc by Marc Jacobs she wore on the cover since the moment she tweeted about it in January! Check out the twitpics and images from the cover story below and I hope it inspires you to start thinking about your spring wardrobe and fresh new picks and spring favorites!
Love, KB
