The 2002 girl-power, surfing movie Blue Crush was the first time I've learned who Kate Bosworth was. Even though she didn't do a lot of the actual surfing scenes, I thought she was great in it. She was strong, beautiful, and did a lot of ass kicking in it -- well sort of. She went on to star in several other movies after that, but I felt as if she was making more waves in the fashion scene than the movie business. She's always seen attending fashion weeks all around the world, often featured in the best dressed lists in print magazines and in online fashion magazines like WHOWHATWEAR.com. What's more is that Mark McCoullough of Proenza Schouler, a brand that often dresses Bosworth for public apperances, and Kate Mulleavy of Rodarte simply adores her. So what's new with Kate Bosworth in 2011?
Well for starters, she has launched a jewelry line with her close friend and stylist, Cher Coulter called Jewel Mint. Cher Coulter, who has been styling for NYLON for years also styled Kate in this March 2011 issue. How fitting, right?! What's more is that all of the jewelry featured in her cover story, except for a Chanel bracelet on the cover, is from Jewel Mint's new line! So aside from fashion and jewelry, Bosworth is going to be starring in over five upcoming films this year such as Another Happy Day, Little Birds, Straw Dogs, BFF and Baby, and Lost Girls and Love Hotels, in which she helped produced, just to name a few.
So come check out Kate Bosworth's NYLON March 2011 cover shoot! I lovelovelove the Missoni top and Fendi skirt that she wears. All of the colors and textures is perfect for the spring!
